When I first bought tds-3 I ran a scan and came up with 3 suspicous files which I sent in to be checked out. One day latter I got a reply saying they wern't trojans. I thought cool, thats what I call service. Since then I have sent files in and never get an answer. Not even a reply saying the file was recieved. Policy change?

Hi gre87y, No policy change but there could be several reasons for this.

    1. The file must be .Zipped.
    2. Use the submit@diamondcs.com.au email address as no other public diamondcs email address will accept attachments
    3. Your own Antivirus program may strip infected or suspect emails before they are sent, check your AV settings or temporarily disable your AV email setting before sending.
    4. Your ISP may strip any suspect files from emails on their network.
    5. Rarely DCS's ISP strips suspect attachments and Wayne has to get the "Don't strip" rule on the above address reinstated.

    Sorry for any inconvenience. Pilli

Thanks for the explantion. I never zipped it before though. All I ever did when something came up on the scan was right click and submit the file. I'll check on the other things you talked about and thanks again. Have good weekend.

OK gre87y, Zipping has become much more important now a days as it is much safer to send files this way especially if the files contain potential malware. Normally a Zipped file cannot be run without opening it.

    Hi,

Over the holiday period there was a large backup of submissions, so we have mostly been trying to add anything which needed to be added - quickly. Some submissions haven't been analysed yet, but I hope they will be cleared up in the next couple of days. Of course they are still coming in every day, so there's no end and its hard to catch up :)

Hehe... Sheesh! Can't even go on holiday without folk bemoaning your absence. It's a 'glitch' of having an outstanding record of customer service and performance. I for one believe a holiday is very well deserved. Keep up the good work at DCS. You guys are still 5 thumbs up. :ninja:

This is a forum to help people so next time unless you have something constructive to say why don't you just keep it to yourself.

Noted, mirrored. BTW, my comment was direct to Gavin, not you nor was it a disparaging or negative comment. But thanks anyway. Take care and have fun. :ninja:
