how did that happen? i have been playing around with my bookmarks, but i don't think i have changed that link, i was just saying to someone that i couldn't remember when i last had any malware and i bet i'd get some for saying that. could it be malware? i have java disabled and use afew different proxo filters and it's FF too, but how could my bookmark change, or could it be that the link i had did go to the scanner too but has been changed in the last day or so. does anyone have Jotti's bookmarked and go to a different page from the scanner?

Your screenshot answers your own question.. How did you miss that?

It says jotti.dhs.org is obsolete, and to use jotti.org instead, right there in your screenshot!. o_O

    Hello,

This whole .dhs.org address was a leftover back from when dhs.org provided free dhs domains. At the beginning of this year I migrated to a jotti.org for several reasons. I set things up so the virusscan page rewrote itself to the new url. I allowed six or seven weeks for people to get acquainted. The dhs.org domain will ultimately vanish from the internet (mine will, anyway). Now I could keep rewriting these old urls or start providing 'this page has moved' messages until it does, but my own experience tells me the only way people are going to update their bookmarks/links in faqs etc is if you stop redirecting altogether and present a plain 'this will not work any more' message. I'm sorry if this approach caused any inconvenience, though I felt it was necessary.

By the way, yes, that is an old picture of me taken by surprise ;)

    Jotti,
Just only a minor thing: if you have the time, maybe you could also change your home-page in your profile ;) :

    Hi Paul,

I started growing that beard when I got sick of being called "ensign babyface" ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

    Hey Jotti,

Great to see you here. My explanation for why you are growing that beard...(just kidding):

One day you fell in an agricultural field and some seeds entered your porous skin, and now you suffer from a syndrome known as the 'agrarian beard'....:D

    Firecat :D;):)

Firecat: Bear(d) in mind that's something I'd probably never admit.

iceni60: I've always had good credibility when it came to misleading people ;)

lynchknot: Yikes. Ok I guess I need to have a talk with my co-admin what that box is and isn't for... thanks for the heads up. When I agreed he could download some stuff to that box I certainly didn't mean that.
    Edit:
Alright... that's another mystery solved. Only realizing you configured a P2P app on my server instead of your own after over an hour is... somewhat understandable with all these shells looking alike. But I'm not a happy panda about this.

I'm sure you'll take care of it ;) As for your signature: not sure - Sophocles or Shakespeare?

I never take offense, damn it! ;)

About the signature. Don't know. Someone used these words in a conversation. Never bothered to look it up. For the record: It's Picard who likes Shakespeare. Not Riker ;)

huh? it's not a P2P app, it is an IP blocker (protowall blocks ads, spyware, trojan IP's and more) - Your IP, somehow, is mistaken for an antiP2P group's IP.

What a coincidence. That makes it even more interesting (I don't know jack about the P2P scene, I was referring to 'you' in general, not you personally) :)
I probably shouldn't even say this, but for the record: I'm not against P2P personally (I just don't want anything like that on a my production server).

There's a nice repetition here though. Again I visit a forum I rarely post to and again after a couple of replies it goes all off-topic. Third time in a row this week. I'm a natural! :D
