I noticed it's been a while since they released a new virus sig database. From the F-Prot virus feed and the Wilders update section no anti-virus updates have came since September 3rd. Either their generic sig's are so good they have not needed to release any more or they all decided to take a break o_O

yeah, weird. their site even indicates "as of september 3, 2010, f-prot can detect..."

assuming it was a joke that f-prot didn't pay their bill, hence not having new definitions available on their site

    Nothing going on with F-Prot.

Don't bother looking at the signature/update feed from the main site; this has lagged behind the true program signatures for years!!!

    Updates appear fine.

So overall, normal business as usual from F-Prot.

nah, i looked at the rss and it still indicated the last update was 9/3/2010 (still does now, actually: http://www.f-prot.com/rss/signaturefilesv6.xml )--

    Code:
    http://backend.userland.com/rss webeditor@f-prot.com webeditor@f-prot.com Copyright 2007, FRISK Software International http://www.f-prot.com/images/logo_new.gif http://www.f-prot.com/download/signaturefiles.html;signdef=3+September+2010
good that their updates are unaffected.

Miscommunication, haha. I didn't equate RSS with an acronym for a security product. I was referring to their rss feeds. :)

The lag in updating the RSS feeds has been going on for years .

Hi Blackcat, I saw you are a moderator at their forum..:)
Can you please give the email address to submit FP to F Prot and also to submit possible malware?
