What's a hijack log?

Sorry if this is off-topic but I hear everyone saying they did it and I have no idea what it is.

Anyway, a Hijack log is the log produced by a program called HijackThis. HijackThis (HJT for short) is a small program which is used to fix browser hijacks, spyware spyware/adware infections, and some other stuff. Someone who tries to fix something with it and doesn't know exactly what they're doing can screw themselves over pretty bad, though - this is why it is standard procedure to save logs, post them, and follow the instructions posted in response to the log by people who really know what they're talking about.

There are experienced hijackthis staff members there that will be able to look at your hijackthis log and advise you if there is anything that needs to be fixed.
