Whatever happened to "Show only new items?"

Just upgraded to v 3.0. Doesn't seem particularly different, outside of interface, and I cannot find one setting from previous versions which I've come to depend on for my sanity: the ability to show ONLY NEW ITEMS in the list windows after updates. Has this function been removed, or am I just missing it? Having to scroll through thousands of entries in search of red lines is horribly inefficient. Anyone know how to re-enable the limited item view? THX JLJ
