What to remove ????

Hi, quite idiot to security software.
However, i managed to install the following softwares ...
I was wondering if i have over-do it or are there any duplicating applications here..... if yes wat to un-install?

1. Anti-Vir
2. Comodo Firewall
3. Prevx1
4. Defense Wall
5. GeSWall
6. SSM
7. SnoopFree
8. Spyware Terminator


On-Demand

1. LavaSoft Ad-Aware Personal
2. A-square Free

1.) prevx1 and SSM can be considered as overlapping, however, they do work differently.

prevx1 is mostly known for its quiet ABC mode and SSM is a "classic" HIPS with pop-ups.

2.) with either SSM or prevx1, u wont be needing snoopfree much.

3.) geswall and defensewall also overlap. both are sandboxes. and btw defensewall is not freeware.

DefenseWall is not free, correct me if I'm wrong.
If you consider yourself pc-challenged, then you should not use HIPS software like prevx or ssm. Comodo covers the geswall. Have no experience with Terminator.

So, in your place, I would:

Antivir, comodo, snoopfree
Buy DefenseWall

And browser, important - firefox or opera, perhaps?

actually prevx1 would be a good HIPS for a newbie. in ABC mode, it makes the decisions for you.

 

Exactly, that's why I went from PG to Prevx1. My wife was going crazy with the popups from PG.

 

Prevx and SSM-- choose one.
Spyware terminator is optional, not so needed if u are safe surfer.
GesWall and DefenceWall-- must remove one of them, it,s totally wrong to use two at a time.
For on demand I will suggest only Ewido and SAS free.

 

PrevX not free; after one month trial will be limited. Only 29US for 12 months

Yes. Probably a bit less of an Iron fist though.
