What to do about the AMD hack now?

    With the AMD hack now there's a potential backdoor kinda like the XZ backdoor but only worse.
    What can be done to help prevent this from happening?

    Yep, someone was able to add code to xz (although no repo IIRC) and I don't see any mention that attacker could somehow add/modify some AMD circuit design

    Well someone else told me that this could lead to a backdoor. Anyway how about credit/debit card numbers they have on file? Should I be worried about my finances? Because I bought a GPU from them a couple of years ago.

    Possibly, although there is chargeback as last resort.
