Yes, it's very good at that. However, I do remember the early days of SAS when it wanted to do a reboot even after removing only cookies.

Other than MBAM which I'm running real time, what's a good on demand replacement for SAS Pro? I'd like to uninstall SAS but I want to replace it with a strong app.

Good Morning! I also have a SAS Lifetime license...that will transcend into reincarnation mode...I've since replaced it with Hitman Pro...far superior! Sincerely...Securon

That is exactly where I am on SAS.

Nod32 finds nothing, SAS finds nothing. But then I run inside the Sandboxie with OP FW pro 8.1, also have MVP hosts loaded so how do I know if I should replace SAS or not? :doubt:

Seriously I believe all you guys it is useless BUT how do I KNOW? :D

Hi Escalader, Long time no see. I expected to see you on the AX64 thread.
Anyhow, I think I might try Hitman Pro. I did a search on Wilders and it looks like it's worth a try.

    Hello twl845:

Yes rumours of my disappearance were exaggerated.

What do you mean AX64 thread?

I'm real close now to no scanners at all. behind a router with HW FW, behind OP FW Pro 8, inside Sandboxie, with a hardened browser, loaded host file , with windows 7 I think I don't need a scanner.

Although I have more than a few SAS Professional LIFETIME Subscriptions, my installed versions of 5.7.0.1008 have not had 5.7.0.1010 pushed to me yet.

Version 5.7.0.1010 seems to have appeared late last week, and may now be downloaded from <http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html> and others.

I'm wondering if it's normal for the automatic application updates to lag by a few days or more? My own automatic database updates seem unaffected and are still timely.

1PW, yes, it's normal. Sometimes the delay is a week or more, depending if there's another application update coming up.

Sure, if you don't mind it resetting your logged in sites like Google, YouTube, Disqus, etc. Or whitelisting a lot of cookies.

Either way, it's not worth the (rather useless) background processes, false positives, and mediocre detection rate.

It's actually amazing how long that guy was able to sell his crapware on here, especially that SuperAdBlocker which was a total scam.

I was approached by them for the second time to do another software giveaway. Needless to say there wasnt enough interest in giving away free pro licenses the first time for me to waste my time doing another review.

Looks like version 5.7.0.1012 was made available this afternoon. My installed Pro versions are still at 5.7.0.1008 though.
