    That's right. Agencies always seem to "overlook" this logical conclusion. If they weaken security on internet with backdoors, other will sooner or later use their own backdoors for other purposes. Since USA is internet dependant country, this can really backfire on them.

    It already is backfiring on them. And the Internet is already hopelessly broken and vulnerable.

    I don't believe it matters any longer which operating system is used or which security software is employed. Security (ie: privacy) of any data in your computer is open to inspection and, ultimately, theft if it is considered to be of value.

    If 'they' want in, 'they' will get in and there is absolutely nothing that can be done to prevent it.

    Edward Snowden is not an anomaly.

    Next to none uses Dual EC.
