Good Afternoon! Currently using Vipre I.S.2014 in tandem with WSA Security Plus. Must admit the Vipre firewall has been greatly improved by ThreatTrack with the introduction of a new driver...as a result surfing is super responsive...and boot up time is instantaneous...and the two are in complete harmony with each other. So far very impressed. And Vipre has Hips and Intrusion Detection...the new owners ThreatTrack are definitely moving in the Right Direction. Sincerely...Securon

Your issue with Flash, probably gets taken care of by disabling Flash Protected mode.

In two computers with different systems, I don't have any issue, What are your other "various issues"?:)

Doesn´t NOD32 monitor for driver installation?

I think it might be overkill. :D

LOL...I think one can learn from drp, because when drivers are being used it gives you an alert.

From what I can remember, at some point I had a fully-loaded security setup which was inspired mainly by this forum. After a few while the first time I know Wilders IIRC my security setup pretty much was:

    - Avira Free
    - Sandboxie Free
    - Sphinx's Firewall Control + Windows Firewall
    - WinPatrol Free
    - Panda USB Vaccine
    - Mozilla Firefox
    - WOT
    - Adblock Plus
    - Ghostery
    - KeyScrambler Personal
    - Malwarebytes' Anti-malware Free
    - HitmanPro
    - Trend Micro HouseCall
    - Smadav
    - ANSAV
    - VirusTotal Uploader

Holy banana my PC used to be more armed than Yamato class battleship. :argh: These days I'm more into native security and OS tweaks instead. I do miss those days when I was still composing multiple third-party security software and figuring out which one will play nice to each other though.

I re-added Sandboxie to my setup. I was waiting for final 4.10 to be released, but decided to use beta until they release it. My RT setup is in my signature.

I'm using 2 major AVs as on-demand scanners, and another as resident. Forget what I said about lighter, can anyone guess which they are? Hint: all freeware.

OMG, you're right! Well, I guess they're too well-known, and the first 2 are kind of a given. I've got like 8 engines working for me, excluding VirusTotal.

Yes, I just picked the best three free AVs :)
I use HitmanPro, Malwarebytes and Emsisoft EK for on-demand, but like your setup also. Can Avira and Avst be set up to be truly on-demand only (no services running at startup)?

I'm using those 3 as well, along with Comodo Cleaning Essentials and PeStudio. I'm not sure if they can, but I think they still worked when I tried that years ago.

Now, I just keep the Avast multi-purpose service (which should only be scheduler/updater now), and Avira Scheduler. Also, Avast components are loaded after the system starts just in case.

Never had a problem for over a year using Avira on-demand, but I just switched Avast to that recently. So far so good.

How are you running them only as OD scanners?

Custom install, they let you uncheck their shields and other components. Won't even be available to enable on the interface, you have to change install.

I think I unchecked everything. There are startup entries I disabled after the install, and the already mentioned services, but no incompatibilities so far.
