Same here. Speedtest shows that about a quarter of the time Chrome extension ZenMate (VPN proxy service) is connecting to a server in Braslov, Romania. So I've removed ZenMate.

It wouldn't be so alarming if only ZM tech people were offering believable explanations for the Romanian server routing, but so far that hasn't been the case.

A new wrinkle: I just installed CyberGhost VPN and connected to their Washington D.C. server. Did the Speedtest and yes, of course a server in Brasov popped up, hosted by RCS & RDS: "one of the biggest telecommunication operators in South-Eastern Europe and the largest cable and satellite television company in Romania." -Wikipedia. I obviously have no idea what's going on, but I wonder if ZenMate was connecting to the same server in Washington when Speedtest showed Brasov.

Yup. I think people over-do their security.
For me I run this set up:
    - nothing on Linux
    - nothing on Windows 7
    - K9 only on Windows XP home
    - K9 and Bitdefender safeplay on Windows XP home (2)
    - MBAM Pro, Forti, HMP on Windows XP Professional (might take out HMP).
Running crazy security set ups is just unnecessary. But a good adware blocker is a must, especially for people who don't know where they are downloading their stuff.

Good find, je. This adds a bit of credibility to the ZM Brasov connection.
CyberGhost VPN appears to have a three hour per session time limit, which would prove clumsy, though not a deal breaker, if it meant merely signing back in.

I must say that I'm impressed how Online Armor and Avast update their engines and databases. When I returned to a one day old snapshot with OA+Avast and logged in I saw popup from OA that its engine and database got updated. When I checked Avast I saw that its virus def db is already up to date.

Does OA's domain blocking work in your computer?

I'm afraid I don't understand exactly what you mean. Anyways I can say I have no problems neither with OA nor with Avast.

Are the blocked domains still accessible even after you added it to the list?

    @ justenough,

I find with ZenMate that the only time the server location jumps around (Austin, Manasses, New York, Brasov) is when I have selected New York location.
If I choose any of the others, it seems to stay with that server.

    Hello everyone!

Question for trjam, and who ever can answer this question.

    Trjam,
just renewed and upgraded my Ikarus license to a 3 year one.and the Wilders discount still works.

Where is the discount for Ikarus? Can you provide a link? And/or code? For
Ikarus? Also, does Ikarus come without a firewall? And will Ikarus work on Windows XP?

    Thanks! Guys!

Good Afternoon! As quickly as you can say Trjam...I've re-installed EAM...since I had a Ikarus license...I thought there might be something new in Ikarus...I'll stick with EAM...or ESET...on my set-up they both are from a performance standpoint pretty much equals. Sincerely...Securon
