    I really can't find anywhere 5.0.396?
On Avast's official website you can only download 5.0.377, but not 5.0.396.
And do you recommend me to stay with 4.8 version or update on 5.0.377 or 5.0.396 version?
I heard that it causes serious bugs and even can crash Windows XP systems!?
    Thanks.

I've seen build .396 on both Majorgeeks and Softpedia in the past few days, and yes(?) it's the latest version.

You can Download 377 and then upgrade to 396 via Software Update built in.

    Or Download 396 from Majorgeeks

Right click your Avast system tray Icon and then click Update, then Program, and you will have it. ;)

Do not install 5.0.377 if you want to make sure you avoid the issues. You can do a program update to get the latest 5.0.396, but it's best to do a clean install. Uninstall 4.8 via add/remove, reboot, run Avast Cleanup Tool to remove 4.8 completely, reboot, run a registry cleaner (optional), install Avast 5.0.396, wait for the first signature update, then reboot.
