Currently, i have comodo firewall installed but i am not sure if it is the best solution, or if i really need to install third party firewall. I just like comodo firewall because it's more easy to use then the default windows firewall. What do you recommend?

Comodo firewall is working much better on Windows 7 than on Windows 10, so I'd keep it

I choose Windows 10 Firewall control (Sphinx) .
Tried almost everything else, after Outpost and then Emsisoft dropped their firewalls.
After a little learning it works well, plus one time price.

    Windows 7x64

Light on resources. I just need a FW and I like Comodo. I used it with AppGuard. I disable the D+ and Sandbox.

same here - up to windows 10.
fully compatible and from my understanding this IS a firewall (like Windows firewall under windows 8/10).
it has granular settings, either zones or other.
    the links leads to comodo.
norton firewall? that product is ancient and abanonned. symantec bought atguard and ditched this wonderful produkt.

    similar firewalls:
    atguard (very ancient)
    outpost (abandonned)
    jetico firewall (free, abandonned)
    W10FC (current)

for comodo i am not sure it it offers additional crap for a firewall, like sandbox or malware scan. BS.

    Sorry for getting off-topic.
Thank you Brummelchen for reminding ;)

For Win 7 and still to get as free - Comodo, Outpost Free, PCTools FW, Privatefriewall...each one with HIPS module.
Without HIPS - tools like SimpleWall or actually already not avaliable from developer like Look'n'Stop that can be still activated if you have valid activation key.

Yikes! What a nice list of what used to be top notch at the time.

Wouldn't mind locating a good link for Kerio 2.15 just for nostalgia sakes. It was on my machines for a good long time around then.

Oh , and you can use Jetico 2 Free even under Windows 10 or 8.1 , along Windows build in firewall that can be controlled via WFC interface (logs are usefull). The Network IP Table will not work due to the firewall driver , but aplication control both for network and process attack are working. It just needs double rules .If an aplication wants out you need ot allow it in the 2 firewalls.Seen no negative effect doing this combo under W8.1 /10.

Jetico and Outpost were good, but LooknStop was my favorite.

fyi - abandoned means "retired", discontinued. its no longer a current software thus means outdated, and ofc possible vulnerable.
toooo sad that it has been died that way.

"Sphinx" WFC10 does it's best to stop telemetry.

Plus it breaks down svchost stopping windows updates, time sync and more.

Works great out of the box also.

Shows connection, events (blocks), and nice easy to read logging, and best of all fast friendly support!

    To me just the best.

"Comodo", wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.
