Hello, I'm sorry my inesperienced but I don't understand well the meaning "On demand Scanner" in Scheduler/Planner. If is it on demand, why have I to configure "Run the Task" (Days and hour)?
Thanks for some easy replies. :)

I am on a stand alone machine and don't use the scheduler. I do an in-depth analysis weekly instead.
Scheduling is just a way to automate scans if you desire.

'On Demand Scanner' is the name of the module much like DMON is 'Document Monitor'

You can use it as a simpler method for setting up a scheduled scan. Follow the prompts and when you get to choose profile ,select In-Depth Analysis profile for thorough scans. it is easier for new inexperienced computer users to comprehend than Kernel as an external application and all that command line stuff.

Doing it this way you will be prompted every time a virus is found, which is not the best when you have a scan running in the wee hours of the morning.

    Cheers :D

If you want to set up a scan to run every day or every week without fail at a set time, then you can follow the steps from post 70 and onwards here.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

I thought if we enabled the new 'Run this profile in cleaning mode' checkbox on the 'Profiles' tab it did an autoclean according to the settings in the 'Actions' tab when run from the scheduler - same as clicking 'Scan & Clean' instead of just 'Scan only' and when it's finished it does a baloon notification if it finds anything in addition to the log.

n.b.(it does - I just did a test run even though the task is called 'scanning' it also cleans if the box is checked)
