What is it and does it belong on wife's PC?

    Using the firewall contained in Trend Micro Internet Security, all household computers show an IP address of 192.168.xxx.xxx. But my wife's computer shows an extra connection of fe80::47d:1f3f:xxxx:xxxx. I'm pretty sure it's an IPv6 connection but is it necessary and do other computers have a similar IPv6 connection? She runs Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

    Yes, it's IPv6. Here are instructions to disable it if you wish:

    I've read that Windows 7 only requires it if you use the "home group" feature.

    was that tsunami from the earthquake in chile?
