Please forgive me if this has been discussed before - I'm not a 'regular' in this forum.

I would appreciate it if someone would explain the difference between Paragon's 'Hot Backup' technology and Windows' VSS (Volume Shadow Service).

    TIA,
    Aaron

Found the answer (sort of) to my question here. I should have searched before posting!

    Sorry,

Hot Backup is A technique used in data storage and backup that enables a system to perform a routine backup of data, even if the data is being accessed by a user. Hot backups are a popular backup solution for multi-user systems as no downtime to perform the backup is required. Hot backup may also be called a dynamic backup or active backup.
