I usually use the shortcut on my destktop to launch firefox. This time I decided to do it from the start menu and noticed two options 1) Firefox and 2) Firefox (safe mode).

What is the difference between the two? Thanks.

Safe mode for Firefox allows you to start Firefox with extensions and themes disabled.
    A troubleshooter mode.

You can also open it by using start, run, firefox -safe-mode
