It certainly is reassuring that MS learned from their historical blunders (like DOS 4) and reliably continue to improve with each new release. ;) :D

I was about posting here to ask for help after the HP Vista-gifted notebook belonging to my uncle decided for the second time in a week to BSOD and not booting up,i swear WITHOUT ANY APPARENT REASON, and i was just fuming bcz the seedy character didnt want to buy Acronis and no image is available......when i came across your post and link L Bainbridge.....
the mirth produced by the article turned my mood into an acceptable one!
Thanks a lot for that link, perhaps its not just humorous....
perhaps it belongs to a parallel future the kind revealed by John Titor.....:D

    in any case,my best regards

not everyone was vista has major problems.
also not everyone can go back to XP.
i have had a few problems with vista and im sure SP1 will fix the bugs.

:D Cheers for that, made me chuckle. Am a couple of weeks from upgrading my main PC to a new box, and it just re-inforces my belief that I should stick with XP on the new machine. Just doesn't seem worth the grief to gamble on Vista working the way I need it to. Since there seems no pressing need to upgrade OS I think I will stick with my initial instinct and stay with XP.

vista SP1 is due soon though right?

i wont try these RC1's or Betas that are available, but i hear the XP SP3 makes XP even faster and even more stable, so i really hope SP1 for vista is enough to make me re-try it.
