Hello, I guess I am a little confused, but I would like to see a list of added/removed/changed features between the new products, especially between the New Antivirus and WSAISP (old Essentials).

I have looked at the comparison chart but I still wonder what has been added/removed/changed between each product. http://www.webroot.com/En_US/consumer-compare.html
Yes I know about the added Firewall in the Antivirus, but I think there is more :D

    Many Thanks :)

This definitely deserves to be posted to help clarify everything :)

As a side note: because of how WSA works and has been developed, the Firewall/Identity Shield components have already been in WSA AV since the 2012 launch. They're all in the same binary and were both used for behavior monitoring, so, your system performance will not be negatively impacted between these releases (it will actually improve overall). If you are experiencing any slowdown, please write into our customer support inbox and have them whitelist your system, which will return performance to normal.

I also stress that it can generate additional prompts/popups by raising heuristics. While some users may be fine with this, it isn't necessary and it could indeed cause confusion. The defaults have been designed to be very strong but nearly silent and we recommend using them to avoid potential problems.

    Now onto the features :)

    Previous AV: Scanning/Cleanup/Realtime Protection/Malicious Website Blocking/System Tools

    New AV: Scanning/Cleanup/Realtime Protection/Malicious Website Blocking/Antiphishing/Identity Shield/Firewall/System Tools/New protection components

    Previous Essentials: Scanning/Cleanup/Realtime Protection/Malicious Website Blocking/Antiphishing/Identity Shield/Firewall/System Tools/Backup & Sync

    New middle product - Internet Security Plus: Scanning/Cleanup/Realtime Protection/Malicious Website Blocking/Antiphishing/Identity Shield/Firewall/System Tools/Backup & Sync/Password Management/New protection components

    Previous/New Complete: Inclusive of all functionality (and now more storage space): Scanning/Cleanup/Realtime Protection/Malicious Website Blocking/Antiphishing/Identity Shield/Firewall/System Tools/Backup & Sync/Password Management/New protection components/System Analyzer

I love you Joe, this was exactly the type of list I wanted to see. :D
And many thanks for the additional info that you included about the firewall and heuristics :thumb:

The firewall is a welcome addition to the AV version. Because of this, I'll be purchasing that when my license runs out, as I don't use the Backup & Sync or Password Management components.

    Wow!

I've surely NEVER before heard of any security company including their firewall let alone identity/phishing protection into their AV only tier product. You folks at Webroot are for certain revolutionizing the Internet security industry.

Because this really is such a radically different approach, I would personally feel a name change is still needed...

    No AV named product...

    1. Webroot SecureAnywhere - Anti-malware, firewall, advanced identity protection, and the essential tools you need to stay secure.

    2. Webroot SecureAnywhere Plus - Miles and miles above ordinary security software. Includes password management and more!

    3. Webroot SecureAnywhere Premiere - For those that desire ultimate and fullest peace of mind; you can backup and sync all your files between multiple machines, access your plentiful amount of online storage anytime, anywhere. Also includes advanced, expert tools for system diagnostics and analysis to reach peak system performance and security.

    ...my two cents. :)

As far as I know, McAfee and Panda were the only two that included a firewall in their AV package. TrendMicro and Webroot are the most recent additions to this small list.

this is what support told me,so it looks to me that to get 25gb i must renew.doesnt sound like i will be upgraded but instead wait until i renew?so im wandering if i have 4 months or so left i dont get 25gb but must wait until wsa comlete is expiring to get the upgrade?

Support:At the time that you purchased the software there were 2 different subscriptions that offered Backups & Sync. The first is Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials, this comes with 2 gigs. The second is Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete, this comes 10. We are pleased to announce that for our 2013 version, Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete will now come with 25 gigs. So the next time you renew, you will then have 25.
