I would welcome a merger between Showtime and Paramount+, as long as it will improve their content over here in Europe. I also hope that HBO Max and Starz will soon remove their VPN blocking since they do actually have good content in the US. I already gave up on Netflix, I don't see them adding many of my favorite movies. And Prime Video is also going downhill, at least in Europe.

BTW, we didn't even mention YouTube who offers free ad supported movies. But they actually make it hard to find those movies and to make a watchlist, which doesn't make any sense. Unless they mostly make money with pay per view, but I doubt it. I would advice Google to also start a subscription service since they are loaded with cash. They could bundle this with YouTube Premium.

BTW, I just can't catch a break, streaming only seems to get worse.

Starz which was rebranded as Lionsgate+ months ago, has now ceized operations in Europe, very weird because I believe the owner of Starz which is LionsGate, actually is the producer of many well known movies, so it's a mystery why they didn't simply improve their European database, similar to what Disney+ has done. So do they perhaps make more money selling licenses to Netflix and Prime Video in Europe? But I also barely see any new LionsGate content over there, this doesn't make any sense at all!:thumbd:

In the UK I watch BBC iPlayer, ITVX, All4 and My5 much more than Netflix. Although Netflix has some decent films eg: Luther: The Fallen Sun, All Quiet on the Western Front and some good German Korean & Scandinavian police procedurals.

OK cool, I still think Netflix is a joke both in Holland and the USA. I see that you guys in the UK can't complain though, content is way better and you still have Lionsgate+ over there.

I honestly don't understand why content, especially when it comes to movies, is so bad in Holland. Netflix, Prime Video and HBO Max are doing a horrible job. Disney+ and SkyShowtime have improved a bit. I mean they can also buy movie licenses for only a couple of months right? That's what YouTube seems to do, I always make sure I watch the newest movies first on YouTube, because I know they might disappear in 30 days or so.

Seems like some of the Starz/Lionsgate content will be available on the newly launched MGM+ streaming service launched over here in Europe, it's better than nothing.

This is a very bad trend , I think they should be ashamed of themselves, the amount of crap on Netflix, Prime Video and HBO Max is getting out of control. I don't understand why most of my favorite movies are only available on ad supported streaming services like Tubi and Pluto TV, it's ridiculous.
