I think it's because there has been such an uproar by ver 9 users having to pay for version 10 (albeit at a reduced price) when bugs in ver 9 have not yet been fixed. It appears that the majority have refused to buy into ver 10.

just my curiosity: starting from scratch, are customers supposed/required to install TI 9.0 Home Build #3854 (released December 11, 2006) or TI 10.0 Home Build #4871 (released October 17, 2006) ?

If you've just purchased TI 10 then that will be the only download available to you. That is the latest version.

TI 9 build 3854 is the final build which will hopefully fix a number of bugs for TI 9. If you use TI 9 and have had problems with mice/dvd burning or something else, then download the final build and see if it fixes everything.

If not, then if TI 10's new gizmos are for you, purchase TI 10.

From Acronis at least, you won't be able to buy TI 9 anymore.

That is something I want to know as well. I have TI v8PE and have just bought TI v10.

I want to start backing up my PC for a fresh install and backup the emails, music etc, but have read a few negative comments on here.

Whats the score with TI v10 then, is it ok?

I chatted about a new build but none is expected soon or available now

    please help
    thanks
