Because, me the most important things I look for are CPU speed and durability, that is- it should be at least 2 Ghz and have good quality casing that are durable enough to withstand some minor bumps. What are the things do you look for as the very important? :D

never really thought about it, but for me it would be the OS. i'd hope to have one with intel that could run MS, MAC and Linux all on the same laptop. is it possible right now? if not then it should be within a year.

not yet. u can only dual boot windows and linux. and even when the intel based Mac OS X comes out, itll probably have some protection so it only runs on Mac/intel hardware, someone may be able to hack it later tho.

Nope it will not work one AMD, it was meant to work on a Dev computer with the TMC chip with the SSE2 and SSE3. There are "patches" that trick the computer to bypass the TMC, any how, that's something else.......

Any how Apple just released a new Mac OS x86 dev Edition, and only seeding to the Dev. User Only.... and will make all "unlegal copy" useless....

    It has to be portable.

According my latest readings at Wilders, IBM is solid, but more expensive.
Other members will advice other good brands.
