I've been a gnome addict for so long but gnome 3 is not for me. I tried KDE 4.6 and no love there.

What are some good alternative window managers that you guys & gals are using that you absolutely love.

    Thanks much!

    There a few:

XFCE, LXDE and Enlightenment. Window managers include Openbox, Fluxbox,
wimii and jfwm such as run under Puppy.

Take a look at the unique Ubuntu Netbook Remix in OZ Unity. There is ROX Desktop but the last stable version is almost four years old!

There are alternatives if Unity and GNOME 3 are not to your liking.
