I intend to download Kaspersky 5 beta, and i want to ask if someone has tried it. Is it as heavy on resources as 4.5?

There are a few bugs but I don't think they are serious. I have posted them on the KAV board but never really got any responce.
for one, on reboot, KAV's icon remains gray and tells me I have not run a full scan yet. This is on two desktops with new Windows XP Pro install. right clicking on the gray icon and then left clicking on the desktop, changes the icon back to red.
There are a few visual links that are not working as of yet.
first of all in each TAB off the control panel is a help link, PLUS there is a help tab. The only help link that works is on the main TAB none of the others. Also at present you can NOT manualy download the updates_ext or updates _x files. If you do your will have to reformat to use KAV 5.0 beta.
I am sure all the little buggies will be worked out on release.

    Hi,

I think it will use much less resources as 4.x it does.
    Maybe less than NOD32V2 :p

    best regards,
