Western Digital exits SSD market, shifts focus to hard drives as SanDisk takes over NAND operations

    Just as well. They had some of the least competitive drives when you compared pricing and specs to others. I wouldn't have bought any WD SSDs. But then again I wouldn't buy SanDisk either. Highest failure rates of any SSDs we have purchased. They were better before the WD acquisition.

    I'm actually a bit surprised, I mean SSD's are the future right? And yes I've read many bad things about SanDisk, but I assumed WD was pretty good, both for external and internal drives. So this is probably a marketing blunder.
