I started my pc last night, and noticed that start-up was taking longer than normal. All of a sudden, a small Windows notification box popped up on screen. It said something about the J drive being system reserved, and disappeared. That was all I could see, the box was only up for a second or two, but I don't think it said much else. I don't have a J drive, just C for the OS, D & E for the optical drives, and F-G-H-I for my card reader. I was thinking my iPod might appear as J, but it wasn't hooked up. I've never seen this before, and was wondering if any of you might be able to shed some light. Thanks!

I'm just guessing, but was the iPod still connected when you initiated the previous shutdown? Did you try restarting again, what happened?

Thanks for the reply. No, the iPod wasn't connected at the previous shutdown. I didn't try a restart, as I had some work to do, and just wanted to finish before I hit my pillow for the night. I'll see how it goes tonight when I start the pc up. I might just run a Malwarebytes scan in safe mode first, but I'm reasonably certain my box isn't infected by any nasties.
