How does NOD32 V3.0 - Web Protection and Email Protection work?

Specifically, Does web protectiion and email protection:

    1) Prevent executable in a web page/email from downloading ?

    2) Prevent any executable on a web page from launching or only when it finds an executable with a virus does it stop it from executing ?

    3) Stop scripts in Web Pages from eecuting ?

    4) Detection of Phishing ?

    Cupez80,

You confirmed that NOD32 v3.0's - Web Protection will prevent an executable in a web page from downloading, so,
    Then my Question is:

When an Aapplication Program on your PC goes to the Internet to get an update -- OR -- Windows Update goes to the Internet to download and update, does the Web Protection feature OF NOD32 V3.0 PREVENT the update executables from downloading and thus cause a problem o_O

If yes, then how do you allow application pgms or windows update to download executable updates, if NOD 32 is suppose to block executable downloads from a Web page, since appliation pgms or windows update downlaod their updates thru port 80 (I think) which Nod32 Web Protection would be monitoring traffic on o_O

In the same boat with the web protection excpet i am noticing that it does not stop website for example i put in the blocked sites of all the conm; net; edu; gov; and all the other web types into the block address list. I have tested them with *.com and as *com*

then i put in exclusions in the list in the following forms:
    *weather*
    *weather.com

this did not work well at all. I am noticing that this feature is not functioning as i hoped

I wanted it to block all website access except specific websites.

Any help would greatly appreciated as our customers would like the latest NOD with this feature properly working.

no problem with winupdate and nod32, hey..... come on..... no antivirus is stupid enough to block windows update Only potentially unsafe and/or unwanted application, from any web sites, will be blocked or make a warning to user, according to setting protection

    Fatalpuls3

why block many web sites ? teens to control ?

may be a firewall will be better to block web sites
