watts OS versus Ubuntu Natty

Once again the so called lighter OS is faster put to rest.

WattOS R4 also doesn't appear to have any definitive power-savings advantages over Ubuntu 11.04, but in fact the average power consumption under the Natty Narwhal is slightly lower.

 

Very interesting, are there any proven effective power-saving distros?

 

You can give Fuduntu a spin, comes with Jupiter which can also be installed in Ubuntu via web8upd ppa.

 

Here's someone who's very impressed with Jupiter:
Jupiter Applet is Great! What a difference!!!

 

I haven't noticed a huge jump in battery with Jupiter but it might depend on the laptop used.
