I was getting about 30 a day until I got rid of a few comcast addresses. GMail gets about 10-15 a week.

the reason i have so many spam is that i let gmail clear it out for me instead of manually doing it

I bet you posted your e-mail address publicly somewhere.

That's why I keep mine sort of private, making it an image file if I need to post it on my website or where-ever else.

w/e, in gmail ur spam box doesn't count for the total usage.
even if it does, we've got 2.5 gigs to mess with.

Intersting, I have never had any spam on any of my G-mail accounts even though I did use one to register at a public forum.

I don't have a GMAIL account, but I don't think it would make a difference.
Changing your email-address makes a difference, unless it is stolen by a spammer.
I heard once that spammers have special softwares that scan computers world-wide for stealing email-addresses.

Today, I receive about 50 spam-emails per day due to mistakes in my newbie time.
I played on many free lottos in the past, which always required a registration.
Dishonest free lottos (at least 90% are dishonest) sell their player's database to spammers or anybody else, who is interested.

The biggest scandal was the very popular freelotto.com.
They are now using their player's database to send personalized scam emails world-wide.

Free lottos also infect your computer with adware/spyware, that's why I joined SWI and later WSF, to get rid of it.
I don't play on free lottos anymore, but my spam-emails are still there LOL.

I'm lucky, I'm from Belgium. Most of my personal data doesn't even fit in phishing emails/websites, because they have a total different structure.

Now whats the point of attaching .tmp file when nothing executes such files?
I never got anyathing like it so i can't really tell what it is,but it looks useless...
SCR,PIF,EXE and other similar attachements are forbiden anyway.
