Wanting to Buy - Advice Needed Please

Hi,

I have an NT4 system disk that refuses to boot - I've tracked the problem down to this:

I've installed the disk on an Win XP Pro machine so that I can work on it.
The partition is currently 18.65GB and I've freed up space (13.5GB) and defragged the disk - I'd now like to reduce the partition down the recommended 7.8 GB WITHOUT LOOSING THE OS AND DATA. Looks like Disk Director is the answer but I'd like your advice please.
