With GPT, all partitions are primary. Keep GPT as you can't have 5 primary partitions on a MBR disk

Did you have trouble with Diskpart?

    hi
it does not format in exfat, it keeps in ntfs

but it's so hard to have a tool to format in exfat
i used paragon to create an hfs+ at the end of the disk (i left 500GB unlocated) , it took 2 hours on a gpt drive , and it create a partition before a nfts volume and on the unlocated space
i have no screenshot ,because i did not like the partition before the ntfs
    in shor the drive was
    1 partition nfts
    2 partition ntfs
    3 partition ntfs
    4 unlocated space 500GB
    after paragon
    1) partition nfts
    2) partition ntfs
    3) i don't remember what kind of partition ( i guess unlocated )
    4) partition nfts
    5) hfs+

    mantra,

I've made multiple exFAT partitions using Diskpart. With GPT and MBR disks. Create a NTFS partition in Disk Management. This partition will be changed to exFAT. Did you open an Admin Command prompt and then type Diskpart and press Enter. Then press Enter after each line.

    list disk
select disk X (where X is the number of the disk)
    list par
select par Y (where Y is the number of the partition)
    format fs=exfat

    Did you see errors?

Active@ Partition Manager can do it and it's free but it left 8mb of unlocated space at the end

    thanks

Diskpart can create the partition too (prior to the format) but it was easier to describe the partition being created in Disk Management.

KDE Partition manager can create an exFAT partition.
