I don't know where to put this so I am placing it here !
I am taking my "Critical Use" machines off the Internet:
I have a XP machine for some software that won't run on anything newer.
I have a Windows 7 machine with software that in not transferable to other hardware or OS.
I want to move these machines to their own local network with only the printers and other devices necessary for their daily use. I intend to have No Updates at all to the current systems. (Isolated from the Internet)

I would like to be able to access the printer (scanner) from a Linux machine by "WiFi Only" (think air print) not actively on the network. How should I go about this ? Would this cause a security problem with the network from the printer itself ?

    Thanks in advance...
