Funny, when users try that explanation ("I didn't know" or "I was unaware"), they're told they should've read the multi-page lawyer-lingo EULA fine print, and dismissed. Maybe the new owners should've been more attentive.
They should be forced to honor those subscriptions by the court. When you buy a company, ignorance of what you bought and its obligations is no excuse. Sounds like the new owners wanted to change the pricing model/structure and are using this ridiculous excuse to screw their customers.
Not very professional of the new owners, I have never used VPNSecure in the past and certainly would never install it in the future.
Another vague VPN company with vague owners, before and after the buy. No reason to trust them with your data, even before the cancelling of subscriptions.
They'll likely get away with it. Don't forget WinZip was a lifetime license too before Corel bought them out. I'm sure there are many more examples.
