Yeah, Voodoo sounds rather unattractive, weird. Maybe ExeShield? There's one but it for copy protection, not of this kind. Or WitchShield? - no sounds like BitchShield (maybe a good thing but not for the name).

Yeah, found: ExeWizard or WizardShield or MasterShield.

VS, you can open some contest for a new name. With 2 lifetime licenses - 1 for the winner, and 1 for the author of the idea of the contest.:D

I have to admit it has grown on me a little. But I would love to come up with a better name, only because people seriously do have a problem with the name... especially here in Kansas ;)

If someone comes up with a great name, we can do a lot more than that! I like what you guys have come up with so far, but I think there is probably something even better.

Have you guys seen this? Someone from this thread alerted me to this thread. Anyway, it is quite interesting. I really better get back to work on the next version, but I will check in a little later to see what names you guys have come up with!

BTW, whoever requested USB drive support owes me a $5 flash drive. I wore it out during testing ;). Sorry, back to work...

That would be me :D Sorry, I have been using 3 different flash drives to test with so one doesn't take all the wear. I'm more worried about my Laptop hard drive from rolling the image back so many times with Shadow Protect for testing. Maybe I should order a new one now so I will have it for when mine finally goes bad.

I have mentioned before I do not like the name VoodooShield for a security application. I think Government, Education establishments, and Corporations might steer clear of something called VoodooShield. No offense of course! I will try to come up with a name that better indicates what the application is, and what it has to offer.

Well my opinion is that the name shouldn't matter. If one don't want to buy something because it's box, name, and not for it's content, I feel sorry for them, they need to put their feet back to the ground. Is like going to another country and change your name because the people who live there don't like it.

Voodooshield it's interesting, I don't understand what's the meaning in America but what I understand from it as an European is like a "touch of magic" on your computer that can control anything, in a good way. (manipulating the bad things)

But because we are talking about marketing, a discipline that covers the psychological model, you should do a survey and see if your potentiall clients and current clients are worried by the name voodooshield or not, before making drastically modifications :p

I'm not, I really like it's out of the box name as I said above ;)

Coding is magic and I say this as a student in Economics :p

But you sould take in consideration that there are some risks that are triggered, general risks and specific risks, if you change the name, many of these risks may be covered by keeping the current clients informed about the decision before making it, information that covers the motivation behind the decision, and making them feel important for you, this is the main component that may cover the risks mentioned.

Please...do not change the name of VS...there are thousands apps called app-, virus-, exe-, malware-, anti-, defender-, guard- and all posible mixtures from them...VoodooShiled is only one on the world...it's uniqe and that is great.

THIS is VoodooShield. I have not released it to the public, but it has never ran better... I optimized the *^%$ out of the engine. Please try it, it should be "perfect". If you find any bugs please let me know!!!

There is a new button on the Settings / About screen that will reset your settings in case you are like me and have installed 50 different versions and it is getting confused ;).

I tried to move up the showing of the icon as much as possible... and I might be able to tweak that a little more in the future. So if it is not fixed, please let me know!

    Thanks again for everyone's help!!!

The optimization works great, I have installed it for about 10 - 15 min, no problem detected. I realy like the Default Settings button.

Cool, thank you! I just discovered one small bug. If you left click on VS in Smart Mode to deactivate it will reactivate immediately. It is seriously hard to get everything right, but it is soooo close. I will fix that tomorrow ;).
