I had that too until I set Voodooshield to Disable/Install mode!

Version 7.02 won't install. I get message stating "Unable to execute file in temporary directory. Setup is aborted. Error 5 Access is denied."

You must exit out of VS to update VS! Use the installer to update! https://voodooshield.com/Download/InstallVoodooShield702.exe

Maybe I should be contacting Voodoo support directly but I've always had such success at Wilder's that I thought I'd try here first.

Two things happening since updating to 7.02, and its happening on two separate systems. ig.exe, a Malwarebytes exe, is being flagged as a false positive. But the most frustrating thing, I cannot open up Voodoo Shield to look around. Usually I can opposite-click on the VS icon and get that menu. Now when I click, I am getting nothing. To repeat, on two systems.

    Thanks, Acadia

    Using 7.02
I don't have the Malwarebytes issue as I don't use it.
I can double right-click, or double left-click, on either the VS taskbar shield or the desktop shield gadget and get a menu which includes opening the VS settings.
Perhaps an uninstall and reinstall may be an option ?
Does VS need and exclusion in Mbam ?

Interesting. I had the taskbar icon hidden, but that is indeed still working.

The ig.exe blocking message keeps coming up, even when I tell VS to allow it. Have discovered that upon rebooting the system, it stops happening, at least so far. Weird.

    Thanks, stapp, Acadia

If this or any persistent block occurs again the best thing to do is contact Dan directly at VS.

Having the same ig problem here. Not comfortable mentioning it to Dan as my version is free. I suspect he will learn of this soon enough.

Doesn't matter, free or Pro version, Dan wants to know about issues and he responds quickest when contacted via the website. FYI Dan hasn't been of Malwaretips in quite some time.

Got the latest version, i.e. 7.03 via update check...

Then a warning from Emsisoft, which I noted. I allowed the installation as per the following:
