Thank you! BTW, I am going to catch up on all of the posts now, except for any of the ones that only deal with the freeze issue, unless there is something specific I need to address. Vlad should have the freeze issue fixed very soon!

I think we are almost certain that the freeze issue started in 3.09, but if you would like, it would not hurt to test 3.08 for a week or so just to see, thank you!

Thank you... I am going to skip the dismhost posts as well since Vlad should have that fixed soon too!

Thank you... yeah, unfortunately there will always be a few blacklist false positives since there are so many engines. Soon we will refine the blacklist / VoodooAi integration even more, which should help with cases like this.

Hmmm, that is odd... do you mean that VoodooAi did not return a result for dismhost? Thank you!

Yeah, that is one of the problems with dismhost... it is not signed... it is a tricky creature ;).

Yeah, we will add a right click on a file "Scan with VoodooShield" option soon, thank you!

Yeah, VoodooAi does not scan the Program Files directory by default... we can change this at some point if we need to. It also does not scan every file type, mainly exe and dll's... thank you!

Thank you... to me it looks like the file was never fully executed because the memory utilization never changed. Hopefully, if CS believes there is an issue, she will let me know. Thank you!

Thank you, I appreciate that! Yeah, I would say that about half of my local clients who run VS are complete novices, and they never have an issue running VS, either in Smart or on AutoPilot. My clients tend to call me about every little thing, and I do not think I have ever received a call on VS blocking something. I guess what I am saying is that since VS is a basically an anti-executable, one would think that novices would not be able to use it properly, but that is simply not the case... it works extremely well for novices and they pick up on it very, very quickly.

There really should not be too many pop-ups... just put it on AutoPilot and she should be good to go. Please install VS on your girlfriends machine and let us know how it goes, thank you!

The question is, do you not want VS to block these new items spawned by vulnerable processes? We will add a feature soon that reduces these pop-ups even further, but I think in general, these should be blocked, right? Thank you!

Thank you for the suggestions! Yeah, these are the types of things we can do to refine the Blacklist / VoodooAi integration even further, and make VS even easily to use. I hope to be able to work on this soon.

I am not sure what you mean... do you mean the right click menu moves over to the left? Thank you!

Yeah, the freeze issue seems to occur mostly after the computer has been sleeping... this is an important clue to help us fix the issue. Thank you!

Hey TH... yeah, VS should not be blocking anything in this mode, it must be a bug. I will check it out, thank you!

It would be nice to see their results though... they might find something that I forgot ;).

Thank you for letting me know... yeah, this is completely normal, and I do not think there is any way around it, unless we have VS kill every suspended process on shut down, which we probably can do if necessary.

Yeah, and CS's tests are customized for each product, so that is very cool!

No doubt VS would do well but if the systems are pre-infected then no go but a clean system sure go for it. Just make sure you read there Methodology on there testing.

Yeah, testing by several different methods is important in my opinion as well. You never know what a certain test might reveal that gives you insight and helps you to make your software more secure. Thank you!
