I believe the next beta release wil be soon. He did a lot more internal testing for this next release since reworking the multithreading.

If you somehow obtained 2.70g do not disable left click activation, and deactivation of the shield. It will lock you out of the settings if you are affected by this bug like I am. It deactivates left, and right click of the shield lol I just reported this bug.

Edit 5/21 @ 3:46: The bug may be present in prior builds so just leave that setting alone for now.
Edit 5/21 @ 3:52: Also it will not allow you to uninstall VS so you will probably have to roll your machine back.

I misunderstood Mr. Gump's problem. I thought he meant that the popup was physically covering the shield, and/or the tray icon. Yeah, that bug is still present.

Yeah, I had issues since 270. I ran native uninstall. Back to 2.50 until 270 bugs are zapped.

Most 2.70 bugs will be fixed soon, and it will run much better than any previous version of VoodooShield. I only have a few more things to check like making sure the password feature, and the backup feature for the white list, and settings are working properly. I only have Windows 7X64 to test on though. Their could be bugs with different OS's, and software conflicts that do not affect me. I know overall the new multithread rework is a much better design than VS was previously.

He has worked out most of the bugs with build 2.70g, but there are several bugs with build 2.70g that I have reported that he is fixing now. I got locked out of the settings with 2.70g by disabling the left click activation, and deactivation of the tray icon and shield. There is also a bug with the anti-exploit feature which he has fixed that is still present in 2.70g. VS also allows child processes from the Program files Folders without prompting the user when it should be prompting the user. There are several other changes, and bugs that Dan is working on as well. All I can say is be patient, and you will see how much better VS is now compared to the older threading method that was being used.

I'm at 2.50. It all good here. I don't play with beta software since bugs haven't been completely zapped.

If it's ok with Dan I will list all the bugs that i'm aware of that he has fixed soon. It might save him some time he can use for coding. I'm just trying to make sure we don't overlook any bugs that have been reported, or that other users may be aware of. If you don't see a bug on the list that you have experienced with 2.70 series then we can check with Dan to make sure it has been fixed. I think everyone will be able to upgrade soon.

Sorry it has been a while, man, that was a lot of work, but I think we are good to go. I think VS is ready for Windows XP, but I have not tested a lot with XP, so there might be a few small bugs. Windows Vista and above should be pretty much bug free, but I am sure you guys will find something ;).

BTW, I removed the feature that disables UAC on install. Also, you should be able to just install over the top of the old version.

I am going to take a little time off, but I will be back asap to catch up on the posts.

Have a great weekend!!! Thanks again!
