    Hmmm, it sounds like VS is blocking something. Can you please right click on VS and choose View Log / Snapshot and let me know what it is blocking?

    Yeah, I know what you mean about the shield when playing a video in full screen. At some point, I will see if we can figure out a way to make VS hide when something else is full screen. You can always right click on VS and choose "Hide", but it would be nice for it to do it automatically. Thank you!

    I have installed 2.65 and am still getting the issue of it blocking Avast updating etc. Problem is that if it connects when you are away from the m/c then you are unaware of the problem.

    I am unable to hide the Desktop Gadget after updating to 2.67 beta (no issue previously).

    After clicking "Yes" for confirmation, the Desktop Gadget would not disappear.

    Hey djg05, what paths are being blocked? If it is something the we should hardwire in, then we will. Otherwise, you should be able to put that path under "Custom Allowed Paths" in Settings / Custom.

    Cool, thank you TH and smith2006. TH is still having problems with the new feature that auto hides the shield when another program goes full screen. I see exactly what the issue is, but I cannot reproduce it. It is a multithreading issue, and I am starting to think that it is because TH has an i7, which does hyperthreading, and I just have i5s in my machines. I will talk to the developer about it.

    The last version with the auto hide feature is 2.68. If anyone is running 2.68, can you please let me know if it is running ok on your system or not? There is no need to post the errors on here, but I would like to know if it is running well on other systems.

    In the meantime, I think we should probably stick with this version, and make sure there are no more bugs, then we can release it. It has all of the latest code, but without the new auto hide feature. Sorry to post so many different versions... I thought it would be a simple feature to add, but apparently not ;).

    Well 2.69 I have no issues on my Win 7 x64 just like 2.65 or 2.66 so I would remove the new code added to hide the Shield unless you can find a way for .Net not to crash VS! IMHO And your right i7 Quad-core with Hyper Threading so it looks like I have 8 cores.

    Hehehe, or I can have VS buy me an i7 so I can test it ;). Just kidding, we really should put this feature off until we have a perfectly stable version, which I think we have.

    @VS

    i noticed that password protecting VS will also protect task manager should i choose to launch it. And if i am not mistaken when task manager is open VS goes from very low memory usage to considerably higher around 11,000k. is this normal? 2.69beta

    I see, it is because Avast is installed on your g drive. I would just add g:\program files\ to the Custom Allowed Folders in Settings / Custom, I think that is the only way around this issue.

    Thanks Dan - will try that.

    Is there a way to save VS settings when upgrading to a new version?
