Ah ok, i thought this was fixed in the 2.33 build, makes sense then. I'll try to re install & see i can reproduce/see something in the log.
Tried a re install to see if i could see something in the log, both Chrome & Roboform are allowed in the log. I get redirected to Robo's homepage where it says the version of Robo is either old (it's the latest) or not functioning. It works just fine as soon as i uninstall VS. I'll attach a screenie of the W7 "what do you want the computer to do?" i get a soon as i start Chrome and are directed to Robo's homepage. Hopefully it will help Dan a bit.
Been playing around with the beta on Windows 7 64bit for a few days now. So far so good with no major annoyances or issues to report. I am however having trouble with Web Apps and adding Openvpn. Even with Openvpn added it still wont toggle on reliably. It's kind of hit or miss at this point so I just removed OpenVPn from the Web App all together. https://openvpn.net/index.php/download/community-downloads.html looking great keep it up and the new pop up designs are much improved
Sorry, I have been working on the last big bug... I have spent well over 200 hours on it, no joke... it has been over a month, maybe 2. I think it is finally fixed, but I have said that like at least 5 times now, so we will see . I am getting closer and closer. Normally with bugs, you have SOMETHING to go by so you can at least google it, but that is not true in this case. I finally got a little info on the bug and googled it, but there was only a couple of sites that had any info on the bug, and it was very obscure. Anyway, I really am getting close, then I will just finish up the sandboxing feature and then we can all relax in Vegas, sound good? That is assuming that something big happens . Thank you guys, talk to you soon! And I will go back and respond to the post that I missed, as soon as this last bug is fixed.
Hey everyone, sorry for not being able to respond on here, I will go back this weekend and respond to the posts. Here is the latest version... it is either fixed, or extremely close to being fixed. In the end, all I had to do to fix the silent blocking issue was to put that code in the service instead of the gui . There might be some really small bugs, but I have been testing it quite a bit, and so far so good. http://www.voodooshield.com/freeoffer/Install VoodooShield.2.34 beta.exe So I will keep testing and see what I can do to finish up the sandbox feature. It is a little more involved than I initially thought, but I do not think it will be too bad. I think it is most important to get a good, stable version of VS 2.0, then we can add additional features... and hopefully it is good and stable. Have a great weekend, talk to you soon! Thank you! BTW... the hash issue should be fixed, I saw that as I was scrolling down to post. I haven't tested it yet, but it makes sense that the last version would do that, but it should be fixed in this one!
Hi Dan Well done, thanks. Am installed and testing and so far so good. Don't know how you manage it...all the work that you do...but think that yo are right and that this may well be just about the release version...but of course, that is your decision . Will give it some more wellie over the weekend and report back if I find anything...but as I said before...looking good. Regards, Baldrick
I just installed v2.34, however whenever rundll32.exe is called by the system, it closes VS in the systray.
Found a reproducible bug in Win7 64. Hit ctrl-shift- esc to bring up task manager. VS flashes up a "saving settings" dialogue and exits!
Can confirm what Tarnak has reported but cannot reproduce what Clive T is seeing...and bring up the Task Manager from a right click on the taskbar does not cause the problem either.
I've just installed this beta on a second, newly reinstalled Win 7 machine. Exactly the same behaviour: ctrl-shift-esc crashes VS.
I really did try to get around to responding to the posts this weekend, but I definitely will very soon. The good news is that I believe the silent blocking issue it completely resolved!!! Here is the latest version: http://www.voodooshield.com/freeoffer/Install VoodooShield.2.37 beta.exe Real quick, I happened to see the ctrl-shift- esc bug that Clive T found, thank you! I tried it on my machine and experienced the same issue, so It must be because VS is "Always On Top". It should be an easy fix... I will just tell VS to ignore that key combo. If that doesn't work, I am sure there is another way around it. Or maybe I can just tell VS to start the Task Manager when that key combo is hit. But I will look into it! So now I believe all that is left is the sandboxing feature, that shouldn't take too much longer. Thanks again for all of your help! Talk to you guys soon!
Shouldn't that be 'will expire on'...? I noticed that I have got a month extension of expiry for my license.
Hi Dan, no problem...but I am afraid to report that I have started getting the following: And I have no idea as to why...nothing strange is occurring on my system, and when I click OK things continue processing merrily. Is there anything that I should check up on to help find the cause? Regards Baldrick
Hey TyRidian, it is actually already an option. Under Settings / Advanced / Disable Left Click Activation and Deactivation of the Shield. If this is not what you are looking for, please let me know, thank you!
Thank you ifacedown, I appreciate that! I know what you mean, and I agree, we need to keep it as simple as possible. VS is just a simple toggling computer / lock desktop shield gadget .
