That is pity , Beta-Testers should have a kind of "beta-license" to fully test it (as Emsisoft or Webroot do)

These issues should be fixed with the latest version, please try it. The only thing that I need to fix as far as I know is the startup issue. If you are still having any problems with any of these issues, please let me know. Thank you!

Hopefully VS did not cause that, sorry if it did. What happened? Can you please give me some more details? Thank you!

Oops, I will have to take out that prompt for XP, thank you! It should work extremely well once the C++ runtime is installed, did it end up installing ok?

Wow, it truly is amazing how one little typo in the installer can cause this much trouble, sorry about that! The only thing that I need to fix now is the startup entry in the installer. I should be able to do that quickly, and I will let everyone know. Other than that, all of the above issues were caused by a typo in the installer. Basically, the path was incorrect, so VS could not find one of the dll's it needs to block files, and basically to function properly. Sorry again, but it should be good now! Now on to the startup issue...

After, the reboot, I could see all these additional files added, to my system...So, I guess that makes it successful. :)

Quick question, can I just install over the top, the 2nd beta release?

Ok, the startup issue should be fixed now, so we should be good to go. Trust me, the software itself is great, I promise ;). We just had 2 little issues with the installer, but they are fixed now.

@ Tarnak, I would download the latest version, uninstall, reboot, and install it again, the reboot one last time.

Sorry about the inconvenience, and thank you for helping me work out these issues. I do not see some of the issues on my test computers because because they are in different states all the time. I do my best to test everything, but something always seems to slip through.

BTW, I think the Training issue is fixed, so we should be good to go.

After this version, I will start numbering them 2.01, 2.02, etc, but hopefully we will only have a few small bugs and we will finish @ 2.01 ;). Thanks again!

Thank you for letting me know it is logging on your system. My log was completely blank. Everything is working now so far with the new installer Dan uploaded. Except for the GUI not loading at startup.

Yeah, but do not let that bother you ;). It is actually a completely new logging system, we just have to tell it to only log it once. The Create Process Notify dll always thinks that it is allowing something new, whether it is on the whitelist or not, assuming it does not block it. So then it logs it again, but we can fix that, it is super easy. It is kind of ironic that 1.30 did the same thing, but for different reasons ;). But that is an easy fix! There are 5-6 little bugs similar to this that we just have not had a chance to fix yet. Thank you!

The GUI startup issue should be fixed with the latest version. I hate to ask you, but can you please uninstall, reboot, download and install, and reboot? I will work, I promise ;). Pretty much everything will work except a few simple bugs like the user log duplication.

The new installer seems to have resolved most of the issues I was experiencing. I was quite worried for a while because VS was not blocking anything, scanning anything, and the log file was completely blank. The GUI is still not loading at startup though. I'm using VS with the allow digitally signed files unticked for now. If everything continues to work ok then I will try it with it enabled. I just got back so I have only had time to test a few things with the new installer so far. I will be testing every feature VS has very thoroughly so if there are any bugs on my setup be assured I will find them.

I downloaded the installer from the 2nd link you posted. I was not able to see the 3rd link because the forum was down for maintenance so I could not get to the the last page in the thread. I will roll my machine back, and use the last installer you posted.

The latest version REALLY should start VS on startup, seriously ;). Remember how startvs.exe used to start VS? Well, we do not need that silly startvs.exe anymore, so I had disabled that in the installer script, but I forgot to add the VoodooShield.exe on startup ;). I tested the latest version on 2 computers and it worked. If you still cannot get it to work, please let me know, and please let me know what version of windows you are testing with. Thanks again!

I think they one and the same, because they are the same size. At least, when I checked..... About to log out, so I can follow Dan's instructions to uninstall, and reinstall. ;)

Yeah, they will be the same size, but please check the time stamp on the digital signature. The first one is 11:11pm, and the fixed one is 11:50pm. Thank you!
