New? Nothing that comes to mind. Just your normal stuff. Qihoo 360, NoVirusThanks ERP, Malwarebytes Anti exploit, HItman pro alert, just to name a few.

I have it running as I type, it's really nice and better than peerblock

Bot Revolt is based on PeerBlock http://www.peerblock.com/ which is free and being updated again
The source of most of the IP list (lists used by PB and BR) is this website

Good find! I have a premium IP blocklist subscription with Nexus23 Labs that should work with Bot Revolt!

I run VS on a Dell Venue 8 Pro, have made no changes to the default settings...and you hardly notice any impact from VS on either performance or battery life.

    HTH?

    Hi MrGump

Indeed I do...I ditched Windows Defender and have installed Webroot SecureAnywhere (the Complete version which is the most 'complete' but there are also 'Internet Security Plus' & 'AntiVirus' versions available which provide very good protection...IMHO...but then I am a fan (interest declared ;) )), which is about as light as you can get and which again IMHO is complemented by VS.

I do not notice them running on my Venue 8 Pro.

    Regards

Thank you Baldrick! And VS 2.0 will be significantly lighter than the current version. Rajesh is working hard to finish up his part of VS 2.0, then I will just have a few small things to do, and I will get a beta version out to everyone asap!

Just one other thing relating to the Dell Venue 8 Pro...if I may temporarily hijack the thread VS :D ...do check that Bluetooth is turned off (it is on by default) if you are not connecting accessory devices at present. Spotted that recently and a turn off has improved the already relatively good power consumption.

    End of thread hijack..thanks...;)

    Regards

    Hi Commander

Not specifically,...because it is not browser centric, i.e., designed to protect bowsers...but, Yes, in terms of your overall system...because, to quote the website "...VoodooShield™ blocks all executable code (including viruses), except the software you allow".

    Hope that clarifies?

    Regards

I would like to know if it does protect all browsers as when you open your browser and or email client the VS Shield would go from off to on in smart mode. As I just use common browsers IE, FF & Opera 12.16 but as Shran asked will it activate when Pale Moon Browser in opened?

    Thanks,

    TH ;)

Thank you guys! Palemoon is in the list of browsers that toggle VS, so it should work great. If not, you can always add it in Settings / Custom / Custom Programs that Activate VoodooShield in Smart Mode. You would just enter "palemoon".

VS 2.0 is really close, but Rajesh had to go out of town this weekend, so it will be a little longer. Here is a version that has a couple of minor bug fixes. Some users have had a couple of VS crashes since I changed the format of the desktop shield gadget, but this should fix it. It will also help to make sure that the fix is working properly for VS 2.0. I also fixed a small issue with the Auto Position VoodooShield option.

This will prompt you to update for a couple of days, until we release it to the public, but please do not update because it will just install 1.27.

    Thank you!

    Hi VS

Thanks for that. Will get v1.30 installed very shortly and feedback if there are any issues. I presume that it is just a case of installing over the top of v1.27, i.e., no need to uninstall first?

    Regards
