Vodafone to pay $21.8 billion for Liberty assets to boost European presence

    It's a bit weird to me, why would Liberty sell these assets. Or can we basically see this as an upcoming full merger of Vodafone and Liberty? I think this is likely, and I hope it means that the cable network in Holland will need to be opened up to competitors, because at the moment there is only one cable company, all others operate on copper and fiber optics.
