I currently use Virtualbox and wonder how this compares in terms of features and performance? (Note I didn't ask which one is better )

Will virtual machines created with Virtualbox run in VMWare Player?

 

Until this program starts allowing snapshot, I don't see any reason to use it over others like virtual box.

 

You can still have "snapshot" functionality by manually copying the VM folder to some other location and copying it back to "revert snapshot". While not seamless as a dedicated snapshot function it does the job for me.

P.S can someone post screenshots of the new interface, can't seem to find them (I assume it's exactly like in Workstation version).

Thanks, they are from the latest version it seems. Didn't check softpedia since they usually have outdated screenshots.

 

Good to know the screenies are current. If you decide to install v5 perhaps you can give us your impressions?

 

It will have to wait, since HD space is sparse ATM.
