    For those who are used to BSPlayer, and would also like to have the function of automatic subtitles search and download in VLC Player, check the plugin VLSub 0.9.1.

    Just download the the addon (if using Chrome or Chromium after saving the file it may be necessary to rename it to "vlsub" and change the extension to "lua" - vlsub.lua - ), and save it in one of these two locations (ctrl + h to see hidden directories; create directories if they don't exist):

    * Linux (all users): /usr/lib/vlc/lua/extensions/
    * Linux (current user): ~/.local/share/vlc/lua/extensions/

    The extension can now be found in VLC menu under "View" > "VLSUB".

    (SMPlayer already have this function built-in, but personally i prefer VLC).

    Simple tip i know, but it may be useful to someone :cool:

    Thanks for the tip but I'll stick with SMPlayer.
    Besides, it uses less resources.
