Seems like Vista SP1 is best left to others to debug for now!
If you really need to restore you can boot up the rescue CD and do it. The reboot from Windows just loads up the Linux recovery environment and passes the data you entered in Windows for the restore.

ATI 11 does work fine with SP1. Try reinstalling it.

ATI 11's System State Backup does not work in Vista SP1.
    Unfortunately re-installation does not help.

    Hello all,

Many thanks for choosing Acronis Backup Software.

Following person2006 post we recommned you to follow seekforever's advice and to try to restore under Acronis Bootable Rescue Media. Please check if you have the latest build prior to creating Bootable CD and install it if it's necessary. You can find the build number in Help -> About section of the program.

As for RAAR's post we recommend you to try to back up with compression level set to "None". You can change compression level in the following way:

    - Please go to Tools -> Options
    - Choose "Compression level" in "Default Backup Options" and set it to "None"

    Thank you

Doesn't work for me. It runs with 100% CPU and eats up memory but it does not progress and has to be shut down in Task Manager.

Same here, this feature has never worked for me. Still doesn't with SP1 and compression to "none".

mmm......despite what I said in #3, it doesn't work for me either. Runs the cpu up to 100%, but nothing useful is happening, and need Task Manager to stop it.

Never normally use this feature so hadn't tested it.

    Hello Espresso, vango44 and Earthling,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please make sure you use the latest build (8053) of Acronis True Image 11 Home. To get access to updates you should first register your software. Don't forget to recreate Acronis Bootable Rescue Media after updating.

If updating doesn't solve the problem, please download the latest version of Acronis drivers and install it with disabled logging.

If the issue persists, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

    - Reinstall Acronis drivers with enabled logging;
    - Reproduce the issue and collect the log file without closing any application windows (including the error message windows if there are any). The log file will be created at C:\ . The name of the log file will be snapapi [date-time].log

Please create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
