vista desktop icons sometimes become transparent

    Heres some examples:

    The objects look like I cut them but I didnt. I dont know what causes it but its usually the first icons.

    Any ideas whats causing this annoyance?

    Ok tried that but it still happens :(

    The icons also show like that if they have the hidden attributes and you have "Show hidden files and folders" ticked in folder options.

    Not a fix but may be something to look at?

    Theyre not hidden files.

    Also if I cut/copy a different file or some text, the icons do return to normal.
