    Hello,
most of the software i use is vista compatible except the following.
    1.foxitreader
    2.quicktime alternitive
    3. winrar (free offer from link here)
    4. VLC media player (not sure)
if anyone knows if any of the apps above have a date for vista compatible please tell me.
i havent got the cash for the pc yet anyway so im just working out when all the software i use is vista compatible.
there is no way i would want to use the full quicktime or the bloated adobe reader on a fresh machine.
i dont want to have to buy winrar to be able to use it on vista.
also i dont want 3 or maybe 4 bits of software stop me from using vista.

I'm using version 2.0 build 1606 and it works perfectly on Vista. I only need it for viewing PDF's, so that's all. :)
Using version 3.70, but you've to buy that, although it's a one time buy.
Don't use it, sorry. :doubt: ;)

    Hi lodore,
    My pleasure lodore.
I don't recall ever looking at that website.
I just installed it and it worked, so that's enough by me.
That would be your best option, else you can use another in the meantime which does work on Vista.
    And don't forget Quicktime Alternative.
Didn't bother to uninstall Quicktime from my system, but as soon as that one is compatible, this one will be removed. :D

VLC 0.8.6c works under Vista iirc.

I dont use QuickTime Alternative but given that VCP and its QT codecs work, then QTA would probably work too.
