How come x64 XP isn't affected?
How do I count the registry entries? I´d like to see how many I have.
Go start - run - write "regedit" - Start counting.
Let me know when you are finish
Just kiddin', maybe some sort of software can do it for you...
The "Registry Information" module in RegSupreme Pro and jv16 PowerTools will provide you with the number of entries, size, etc.......both have 30-day trials.
EDIT: I believe only jv16 PowerTools works with Vista 64 at the present time.
Thanks prius04 Going by what this guy mentioned after 6 months of x64 use I should be over 100 million entries by now, lol.
IF this guy talked to MS, they must have been humoring him
According to JV16, 69 on the bar graph is about normal.
Vista has it's problems, as I have been witnessing lately with little glitches here and there, but articles like this just smack of yet another Vista bash-fest by some disgruntled guy with an axe to grind...... I'm sure we'll see this kinda thing for a long time to come too....
Right on, K
For comparison, here is the data on my Vista32 laptop. The numbers speak for themselves.
Another FUD from a so called retired IT personnel, maybe all he did in IT was spreading FUD.
