I'm a tech trying to remove the virut virus form a dell. I've hooked the HD up to my laptop and did a scan on the HD and removed the virus did another scan and the virus is still there. After many scans the virus is still there. There is a recovery partion for the dell and I think that the virus is in that partion but I cant see it on my laptop to scan it. Now the dell (which dosent have ps2 ports only usb) dosent recognize the usb so I cant login in regular or safe mode, but I can access the bios so I know its on a software level. Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks in advance -RAT

Can you try scanning/cleaning with another antivirus product . May be there is something wrong in the cleaning procedure which AVG has for this threat
