i have nod32 and virusbursters got through and my pc is infected. i downloaded spybot and noadware programs to get rid of it, but i still get the "critical system errors!" balloon at the bottom right corner of my computer. can nod32 get rid of it? those programs seem not to be helping. Anyone know how to get rid of it? Let me know. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I believe that NoAdware is a rogue app

VirusBursters is normaly associated with SmitFraud type infection gained by various infection methods. There are some fix's available for this malware. The canned fix has already been linked in a previous post(AVG Free+SmitRem+Panda active scan) but equally as effective is the free version of the following software
    http://superantispyware.com/
Which dose the job of the canned fix but in one download, scan and clean cycle.

    All the best :)

Saw this posting and was looking around for removal links:
    Found these:
    http://www.zlob-removal.com.removal-instructions.com/
    and leads back to
    http://www.spywareremove.com/

    This is Spyhunter yes?

Is Enigma still an untrusted vendor?
AFAICS if not actual malware then poorly performing "trap-ware" ie trap you into paying for mals they detect.

BUT; I could be being unfair.

Does any body have an opinion on these sites and or softwares?
I cant comment on the removal instructions
The "download removal tools" link goes to Enigma Software spyware scanner

I aint touching these with a long pole (unless somebody here might vouch for them) but the sites look so good

Just a note to remember to be aware.
The bleeping computer fora is the way to go.

I was infected last night, I cleaned it up with Spyware terminator in safe mode. I cleaned all but the tray icon which was located in System32/qrzsyr.dll which I deleted on reboot and no more blinking icon

Haha...Well its funny + extra annoying for myself. I've fixed this problem on several computers ( computer repairs manager ) and today my brother used my computer and got the virus. Usually it took me 30 minutes to remove this virus with Spybot Search & Destroy, with the help of AVG Scanner, but on this computer for some reason that blinking light didn't want to leave.

Everything was cleaned, after using Search & Destroy, but the balloon stayed there still pissing me off (yea) so I just went to System32 folder and renamed qrzsyr.dll to qrzsyr.dll.bad and restarted the computer, no longer there :)

Funny part is, it had to happen to my computer...then not be solved the original ways I did for other computers, haha.

Yes I fixed this for someone recently. VirusBursters - Add/Remove Programs, Zlob Media Codec, two ballons- link to rouge antispyware and critical system errors. Very tough, he already try SuperAntiSpywareFree which wasn't allowed to update.
I came over to the neighbour and ran the fix in safe mode.

That bloody blinking light, drove me mad. I went to System32 and deleted qrzsr.dll . The icon was gone.
